IntelliGaze prototype debuts at COGAIN meeting.
The IntelliGazeTM prototype system has been successfully demonstrated at the annual COGAIN meeting in Leicester, UK 3-4 September 2007.
The IG-30 system utilizes a small, custom camera and illumination unit, which is mounted underneath the display to record the users eye movements.
The camera is connected via a standard USB-interface to the computer. Using USB, the system can be set-up with almost any uptodate stationary or portable computer without additional interface cards or similar.
Apart from the small power-supply for the camera unit, no more special components or connections are required. The IG-30 system is extremely versatile and even portable!
The IG-30 system can be easily integrated with standard TFT monitors, Tablet PCs or similar.
The system includes a VESA-mount adapter that attaches to virtually any TFT-monitor, which can be either positioned on a desk or mounted on a monitor arm.
Once attached, the IG-30 camera unit and the monitor form a solid unit and can be moved around or stored away easily.
The small size and light weight of the IG-30 camera unit make it also very easy to integrate even into mobile setups and bed-side installations. Relying on USB2, it can also be separated from the PC by several meters.
